During the Blues game tonight, they aired a new commercial featuring some of their young players. They each stand in front of the camera and hold up signs with one word written on them, and show a quick clip that corresponds to that word. One night after a close call OT win, the Blues finished up their road trip in Ottawa. After rallying with two unanswered goals, the Blues failed to get the job done and lost 3-2 last night. The hero for the Sens was 23 year-old rookie Peter Regin, who continued a recent hot streak with 3 points (1G, 2A) on the night. After falling to Columbus 4-2 Monday, the Blues continued their road trip against the Montreal Canadiens. After giving up another exasperating late 3rd period goal, the Blues won 4-3 on an OT goal from Andy McDonald. BJ Crombeen knows that he can do more to pump up his team than just score goals. On Saturday the Blues hosted the New York Rangers, who have been in a scoring funk lately. The Blues sent the Blue Shirts back to New York after beating them 4-1. David Perron lead off the night’s scoring with a PPG at 14:07 in the 1st period. Perron one-timed a puck past rookie goaltender Chad Johnson after some nice puck movement on the PP. After finishing their 3-game California road trip, the Blues returned home to face the Columbus Blue Jackets this Tuesday night. After a gritty- hard-fought game, the Blues and Davis Payne earned themselves their first win at home since Dec. 15th, defeating the visitors 4-1.
