Pietrangelo Out With Injury

As if things weren’t bad enough on the injury front for the St. Louis Blues, the team suffered another blow on Tuesday when defenseman Alex Pietrangelo suffered an upper-body injury. Pietrangelo did not travel with the team to Detroit for Wednesday night’s showdown with the hated Red Wings, but there has been no further update from the team on the injury.

AP27 has been very good so far this season, and he has really been coming into his own over the last few weeks. I don’t know for sure how serious this is, but it would certainly hurt this team if he misses significant time. The Blues just can’t catch any kind of break right now, but much like the other injuries, someone will have to step up while Pietrangelo is out.

Blues Notes: The team made a slew of roster moves today, as they recalled Adam Cracknell, Chris Porter, and Dave Scatchard from Peoria. Cracknell has 13 points and 41 penalty minutes for the Rivermen this season. Porter played in nine games for the Blues earlier this season, posting seven penalty minutes, and Scatchard has played five games with the big club without tallying a point.
