The St. Louis Blues made another signing Monday, adding defenseman Danny Syvret to a one-year, two-way contract. Danny was drafted by the Edmonton Oilers in the 2005 NHL draft(3rd round). In his 59 career NHL games, he has tallied only 3 goals, 4 assists, and 30 penalty minutes. Only playing 10 NHL games last year, most of his season was tenured with the Adirondack Phantoms and the Syracuse Crunch of the AHL. In the 59 games he played between these two teams, Syvret recorded 10 goals and 30 assists. Not bad numbers for a defenseman. Though, most of his time will more than likely be spent in Peoria, I think this addition gives the Blues some needed depth. You never know when you may have another injury filled season.
