The St. Louis Blues announced today that David Perron is set to rejoin the Blues tomorrow. The news that Blues fans have been waiting to hear since November 4th of last season where the 23 year old forward sustained a concussion from a hit by San Jose Sharks forward, Joe Thornton.
This doesn’t mean Perron will jump right back into play for the roster, he still needs to get back into game shape and get his legs under him before thinking about getting into a game. However, with this news, Perron could return around early-to-mid November. This could be the missing puzzle the piece for the Blues as they were off to a 9-1-2 record last season but the loss of Perron at the ten game mark really hurt them as the injuries piled on after Perron went down.
He’s not expected to practice tomorrow, but could start within the next week or so. More will be known tomorrow when Doug Armstrong and company meet with the media at 11:00 a.m.
Welcome back David, we’ve missed you pal!
