Blues Travel To Edmonton In Search Of Fourth Straight Road Win

After a decisive win in Calgary on Monday night, the Blues look to win their fourth straight road game riding the fantastic goaltending of Jaroslav Halak. St. Louis travels to Edmonton to take on Taylor Hall and the upstart Oilers, who have won three of their past four games (3-1-1).

The Blues, currently ranked fourth in the Western Conference, need to keep their winning ways going, as they are only 2 points back (with a game in hand) of the Detroit Red Wings for the Central Division lead. St. Louis also trails the Vancouver Canucks by 3 points for the top spot in the West, who have lost their past two contests (0-0-2). [Check poll at the bottom]

Over the three game road win streak, the Blues have been led by Jaroslav Halak, who has a 1.58 goals per game average over the streak, and Jason Arnott, who has 4 points during the trip. The Blues have also had solid contributions from the power play unit in the past few games, a group that has been invigorated by the return of Andy McDonald.

St. Louis leads the season series over Edmonton 2-1, with the home team winning each time. Keeping with that trend, I’m going to predict an upset of sorts.

Oilers 3, Blues 2. OT/Shootout
