Steen Suffers Minor Injury In Return

After missing twenty-nine games with a concussion, Alex Steen returned to action on Sunday night against the Phoenix Coyotes. Steen Skated with the second line in fifteen minutes of ice time and registered two shots on net. The twenty-eight year-old forward’s trademark toughness was on display late in the third period when he stepped into a check on Phoenix center, Alex Bolduc behind the Blues’ net. Steen’s check caused Bolduc’s left skate to fly up and hit Steen in his mouth. Luckily, it was the toe of Bloduc’s skate that made contact with Steen’s mouth, not the blade. Steen lost an undisclosed number of teeth in what was a scary moment for all Blues fans.
