2012 Central Division Preview: Can The Blues Repeat?

The Blues shocked the Western Conference last year, garnering 109 points en route to a Central Division title and the second overall seed in the West. Yes, St. Louis was disappointed with their early second round exit (They were swept by the eventual Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles Kings), but with a young core who will only get better over the next few years, the future for the Blues looks bright.

This time last year, the blueshirts were picked to finish fourth in the central, below the favorited Detroit Red Wings and Chicago Blackhawks, and up and coming Nashville Predators. However, without the element of surprise, it will be harder for the Blues to top a division which had four playoff teams and two conference-semi final appearances.

Over the next week, Bleedin’Blue will profile each team in the Central Division, including key players, 2011-2012 season recap, offseason acquisitions/losses, 2012-2013 strengths and weakness, and their projected finish the Central Division and Western Conference. Start the debate by selecting who YOU think will win the Central Division Title in This Year.

Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment.
