Big Business Hurts Sports: Local Edition! It’s a shame that $ must play such a big role in sports, but that’s reality. The Blues are in an especially tough position this year as the Western Conference race continues to be tight. Army could likely get a nice return on some of those FAs he doesn’t think he can sign (IF he’s thinking that, I’m only speculating) BUT…

most of those guys are a huge part of the playoff push this year. If the Blues aren’t successful, i.e. no playoffs or a 1 and done, and he ends up not making any moves, it will not look good for the team next year with so many guys poised to walk. Granted, the RFAs wont walk for nothing, but still, the fan base will cry foul, despite how smart most Blues fans are about the intricacies of the game.

Glad I don’t have to make those decisions!
