The St. Louis Blues have assigned goaltender Brian Elliott to the Peoria Rivermen of the AHL.  It is expected that Elliott will start on Friday and Saturday and then return to the St. Louis Blues.  This assignment can only be made with the consent of the player and Elliott has agreed to the terms.

It is unknown what the Blues long term plans are for the goaltender that led the league in save percentage last season.

Elliott has been out of the Blues lineup since March 5 when he faced off against the Los Angeles Kings in relief of Jaroslav Halak allowing one goal on eight shots.  Elliott currently has a .851 save percentage and 3.65 goals-against-average and a record of 3-6-1 on the season.

Let’s hope Elliott can regain his form in Peoria.  More to come as we have it.
