Vladimir Tarasenko is one of the best rookies in the NHL. Tarasenko was looking like a favorite to win the Calder for being the NHL’s Rookie of the year, but on February 20th he suffered a concussion that would sideline him for 24 days. Tarasenko was named the rookie of the month in January and with four points in his last six games, Tarasenko is showing once again just why he deserves to be in consideration for the Calder.
So I got to thinking and thought that maybe we should compare his numbers to that of the other rookies in the league and to his teammates. Take a look and it shows that Tarasenko might not be the number one pick for the Calder right now, but he is not far off.
LET’S GO BLUES!
