St. Louis Blue Acquire Jordan Leopold From Buffalo Sabres

The St. Louis Blues have announced that they have acquired Jordan Leopold from the Buffalo Sabres for a second round pick and a conditional fifth round pick in th 2013 NHL Entry Draft.

Leopold has eight points in 24 games this season.  The 6’1″, 206 pound left-hand shooting defenseman has been in the NHL for 10 seasons and has been a member of the Calgary Flames, Colorado Avalanche, Florida Panthers, Pittsburgh Penguins, and the Buffalo Sabres.  While Leopold may not have been exactly what the Blues have been looking for, he could fill the hole of the LHD that the Blues have been searching for to pair with Alex Pietrangelo.

Leopold was originally drafted in the 2nd round (44th overall) in 1999 by the Anaheim Mighty Ducks.

More to come as we have it.

LET’S GO BLUES!
