In round one of the 2013 Stanley Cup Playoffs, the St. Louis Blues are battling the reigning 2012 Stanley Cup champions. Each team is looking for a unique way to overtake the other and win this series. However, a lot of focus is surrounding a separate battle among the two opposing goalies, St. Louis Blues’ Goaltender, Brian Elliott and Los Angeles King’s Goaltender, Jonathan Quick.

The Ontario native, Elliott, has been on fire in the regular season (April) and now during round one of the playoffs against the Kings. Elliott has blocked 76 out of 79 shots in the series in games 1 to 3.

The Connecticut native, Quick, has also had an amazing run during this series.  Quick has stopped 93 of 97 shots in games 1 to 3, with an amazing 30 saves on May 4th.

As game 4 is underway this evening, we anticipate a continuous battle amongst the goaltenders.  With such an amazing run thus far in the series, who will come out on top in the Monday evening game?  Will Elliott be able to stop all attempts by the Kings or will Quick be able to thwart all attempts by the Blues? Either way, the enticing battle will continue to be intense.  Come on Blues fans, help support the team as they embark on an epic journey in round one of the 2013 playoffs.  Let’s Go Blues!
