After the recent signing of Jordan Leopold, the St. Louis Blues have announced that they have traded restricted free agent Kris Russell to the Calgary Flames.

Russell was originally drafted in the third round.  The Blues acquired Russell via trade with the Columbus Blue Jackets for Nikita Nikitin.

The Blues receive a fifth round round in 2014 as compensation.

More as we have it.
