The wait is over, we can now officially announce that Alex Pietrangelo has agreed to a seven year contract extension with the St. Louis Blues.

Pietrangelo was a restricted free agent after his three-year, $9.675 million entry-level contract in ended in 2013.

Pietrangelo can say that he will be a Blue for the long haul after agreeing to a seven-year, $45.5 million contract that carries an annual average value of $6.5 million.

Originally drafted number 4 overall selection in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft by the Blues, Pietrangelo has participated in 224 career regular season games and collected 121 points.  Pietrangelo will now attend training camp with his fellow Blues.
