Vladimir Sobotka Injury Update: St. Louis Blues Forward Continues to Skate

The St. Louis Blues have been without Vladimir Sobotka since January 31. He was injured just prior to the Olympic break, and has been slowly rehabbing from a leg injury that kept him out of the Winter Games. While he’s not the biggest name on a roster that includes the likes of David Backes, the 26-year-old was on pace to break his career high of 29 points and is one of the top faceoff artists in the NHL.

He’s getting closer to returning for the Blues though, and hasn’t suffered a setback while skating over the last few days.

Sobotka is taking his recovery slow, but hasn’t ruled out joining the team for some skating drills soon.

While he’s still not close to returning for St. Louis, it’s great to see him out on the ice and skating for 30 or 40 minutes at a time. The leg injury was unfortunate given the timing, but he seems to be back on track to take part in the upcoming playoff push for the Blues.
