The St. Louis Blues and the Nashville Predators are just a few hours away from puck drop, and the top team in the Central Division will be looking to secure an important two points in a battle with the worst team in the division. Nashville struggled throughout the season as top goalie Pekka Rinne recovered from a scary hip infection.
He’ll be back in goal for Nashville tonight, and the team will likely be determined to try and fight their way back into the playoff picture. While the Predators aren’t likely to catch the Colorado Avalanche for the final playoff seed in the Central, they are only trailing the Dallas Stars—and the final Wild Card spot—by six points.
With Rinne back in action, the Blues could have their hands full with a chippy Predators team. St. Louis has a standout goalie of their own in Ryan Miller though, and he’ll be going for his third straight win since joining the Blues prior to the trade deadline.
