Carlo Colaiacovo continued a recent trend for the St. Louis Blue when he scored against the Minnesota Wild. Against the Nashville Predators, Ian Cole was inserted into the lineup and stepped up with a two-point outing. He was a healthy scratch against the Wild though, as Colaiacovo drew into the rotation.
Cole scored when given a chance to do so yesterday, and Colaiacovo followed suit against the Wild.
That goal gave the Blues a 2-o lead heading into the second intermission.
BLUES GOAL! Carlo Colaiacovo beats Bryzgalov and it’s 2-0 good guys. #stlblues

For Colaiacovo, the tally ended a lengthy goal-scoring drought. That makes his exhilaration after seeing the twine pop just a bit sweeter.

The Blues are looking for their fifth straight win, and haven’t lost a game since acquiring Ryan Miller and Steve Ott ahead of the deadline. Minnesota is looking to hang onto a Wild Card spot in the Western Conference, while the Blues are gunning for the Presidents’ Trophy.
