The St. Louis Blues are in the midst of a five-game winning streak, have a four-point cushion over the Chicago Blackhawks atop the Central Division and lead the NHL in points with 94. Ryan Miller has been spectacular since arriving ahead of the trade deadline, and players like Magnus Paajarvi and Patrik Berglund are elevating their games at the right time and things seem to be going quite well for the Blues right now.
They have three games on tap this week, which is a good change of pace for a team that played five games in seven nights dating back to March 2. The Blues cleaned up the points though, and have used this recent streak to catapult to the top of the standings and various power rankings.
St. Louis can’t afford to let down here. Chicago is nipping at their heels in the Central and the Anaheim Ducks are only trailing them by a point in the race for the Presidents’ Trophy. With just a few games left in the regular season, this is an important stretch of games for a hungry Blues team.
