March 11: Dallas Stars

Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

The Blues will continue their tour of “desperate Western Conference teams” when they take on the Dallas Stars at the Scottrade Center. Dallas is in fourth place in the Central Division but is hanging onto the final Wild Card spot in the Western Conference by three points.

They’ll have plenty of motivation to knock the Blues off in this one. While the Stars will be fired up, they may also be fatigued. St. Louis will be playing the team on the second night of a back-to-back, which will have an impact on the game because of the goaltending situation in Dallas.

Kari Lehtonen is out with a concussion, leaving Tim Thomas and Jack Campbell to do the heavy lifting for the foreseeable future.
