St. Louis Blues Highlights: Roman Polak Blows One By Tim Thomas

The St. Louis Blues were looking for a hero in the third period of their contest against the Dallas Stars, and for the third game in a row an unlikely defenseman found the back of the net for an important goal. This time it was Roman Polak, who entered the contest with three goals and six assists on the year.

Who replaced Polak with Al MacInnis? He certainly got all of that one. With Tim Thomas battling for space outside of his crease after a faceoff win by the Blues, Polak found himself open in the high slot and made no mistake with it. With St. Louis trailing 2-1 in the third, he evened things up with his fourth tally of the year.

The assists went to Vladimir Tarasenko and Patrik Berglund.

Polak joins Carlo Colaiacovo and Ian Cole in the (apparently) recently formed Alex Pietrangelo Imitation Club.
