It was inevitable that the St. Louis Blues would be knocked off of their winning streak at some juncture. The Dallas Stars managed to get the better of the Blues in overtime on Tuesday, but head coach Ken Hitchcock is going right back to his new workhorse in Ryan Miller against the Edmonton Oilers on Thursday.

While Miller was handed his first loss as a Blue by Dallas, the veteran netminder has yet to come away without a point across five starts with St. Louis. He’ll look to continue that particular streak against an Oilers team that hasn’t been all that great this season, but have won three of their last four games.
It’s around this time of year that Edmonton typically turns into a team that is hungry to knock top squads off of their perch for a night. The games don’t matter to the Oilers, so all the pressure is seemingly off and that allows their incredible amount of talent to show.
If the Oilers are on and have their legs, it could be a tough test for Miller and the Blues—especially if they don’t simplify their game a bit.
