Vladimir Tarasenko was reportedly injured last night when the St. Louis Blues took down the Nashville Predators on the road, and he will undergo surgery to repair his right hand. This is obviously an unfortunate injury as the Russian forward has been playing some spectacular hockey as of late.
Blues lose Tarasenko for minimum six weeks with a hand injury. Has quietly had a very good season.

With Tarasenko set to miss upwards of six weeks as he recovers, St. Louis has made a recall from the Chicago Wolves to fill in.

The 22-year-old has been among St. Louis’ most effective forwards this season, and he recently cracked the 20-goal barrier. All told, he has 21 goals and 22 assists in 64 games played this year. Head coach Ken Hitchcock seemed to be onto something with a line that featured Tarasenko alongside Vladimir Sobotka and T.J. Oshie, but he’ll be forced to juggle his lines a bit due to this injury.
