Jordan Leopold hasn’t been able to play for the St. Louis Blues since February 8, and he reportedly won’t be able to suit up when the team takes on the Chicago Blackhawks tomorrow. He’s been out with an injured ankle and is still recovering from that issue.
Paajarvi (upper-body) remains questionable, Leopold (flu) will not play in Chicago. #stlblues

That’s not a terrible blow to St. Louis, but more defensive depth is never a bad thing. Leopold seemed to be jumping into the offensive zone with a little more frequency prior to his injury. At this point it seems likely that the Blues will hold the veteran defender out until he’s 100%.
The wins continue to pile up, the lead in the Central is widening and the grasp on the Presidents’ Trophy is still intact. St. Louis has eyes for only the Stanley Cup, and probably won’t feel the need to rush a depth player back while the team out on the ice continues to grab points in the standings.
