Magnus Paajarvi has missed the last three contests for the St. Louis Blues, but head coach Ken Hitchcock thinks that he’s close to returning and should be available at some juncture this weekend. St. Louis will be playing the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday before squaring off with the Pittsburgh Penguins on Sunday.
Hitchcock said he thinks Paajarvi looks good and is ready to go. In the next two games, he expects to get Paajarvi and Porter in the lineup.

For a team that is already without Vladimir Tarasenko for the next few weeks, getting Paajarvi back in the lineup is a positive. The former first-round pick struggled mightily during his first few months as a Blue, but was starting to come around prior to his injury on March 13.
He’d compiled four points in six games, which is good for a third of his total production on the year. Will Paajarvi be able to pick up where he left off? That’d be a big plus for the Blues, as scoring depth is what will help ease the loss of Tarasenko.
