Jordan Leopold hasn’t been able to play for the St. Louis Blues since February 8. He’s reportedly close to returning though, and could provide a defensive boost to a team that has been suspect around the netminder over the last few games. He was back out on the ice last weekend prior to the contest against the Philadelphia Flyers…

As Jim Rutherford Tweeted, no final choice has been made about Leopold’s availability, but the fact that he’s getting close is an encouraging sign for the Blues. Leopold has been an important pieces on the back end for St. Louis, and he plays an important and steady 15 minutes a night.
