The Vancouver Canucks are 5-points out of the second and last Western Conference Wild Card spot, and with seven games remaining have an uphill battle to make the playoffs this season. While all but one of their final games are at home, the Canucks will be playing five of those against playoff-bound teams.
They could either fall hopeless out of the race of play spoilers, and if Vancouver goes the latter route, they could end up playing the St. Louis Blues in Round One of the playoffs. That could be potentially bad news for the Blues, who finished 0-2-1 against the Canucks this season.
A St. Louis-Vancouver series might present a unique challenge for the Blues as they only managed three goals in the three regular season match-ups while allowing six. Things have changed since their last go-round February 26, a 1-0 Blues loss. Let’s see how the teams match up now.
