The St. Louis Blues will play host for the Dallas Stars tonight as they continue their lengthy homestand. St. Louis was able to secure a victory in the first contest of a five-game homestand against the Minnesota Wild on Thursday. T.J. Oshie scored a hat trick and helped the Blues dominate a team that they could see in the first round of the playoffs.

Dallas is another squad that St. Louis could end up facing in round one, so expect a playoff-like atmosphere as the Stars grab for two important points. They are trailing the final wild card spot in the West by three points and have a chance to make up some ground on the Phoenix Coyotes, should the Desert Dogs lose to the Wild tonight.

The Blues have plenty at steak as well though, as the Boston Bruins defeated the Washington Capitals earlier today. As such, they reclaimed their lead in the race for the Presidents’ Trophy. Can Dallas come up with a monster performance against one of the NHL’s top teams? Or will the Blues continue their dominance at home?
