T.J. Oshie put the St. Louis Blues on his back last week, and the NHL recognized the forward for his efforts by naming him the third star of the week. Kyle Turris of the Ottawa Senators was tabbed as the first star, while Patrice Bergeron was the second star of the week for his play with the Boston Bruins.

He potted the first hat trick of his career last week and had six points across three games played. According to the NHL’s official press release:
The 27-year-old native of Everett, Wash., has set career highs in nearly every offensive category this season, including goals (21), assists (39), points (60) and game-winning goals (5), while playing in 73 of 74 contests.
With Vladimir Tarasenko on the shelf for the time being, the Blues have needed bigger games from their top-end forwards. Oshie answered the call with vigor last week, and helped St. Louis continue to fight for the Presidents’ Trophy. The upcoming week doesn’t get much easier though, and the Blues will have their hands full with a tough and hungry Philadelphia Flyers club tomorrow.
