In just a few short hours, the St. Louis Blues will take on the Philadelphia Flyers and Ryan Miller will be in goal. Ken Hitchcock continues to roll out the former Buffalo Sabre, and the netminder will have a chance to reward the coach for his confidence this evening.

Miller and the defense in front of him has left a bit to be desired over the last week or so, but the goalie’s worst start as a member of the Blue came back on March 22 against these same Flyers. Philadelphia found the back of the net four times on just 19 shots, and Miller was out-played by Steve Mason by a wide margin.
Getting outplayed by Mason is never, ever a good thing.
So the 33-year-old veteran will have a shot at revenge tonight. One of the most notable aspects of Miller’s game in his compete level. He’s a battler through and through, and showed that in Buffalo by standing on his head all season long despite little offensive support.
After St. Louis failed to take down the Dallas Stars again, getting a win tonight against the Flyers would certainly go a long way toward cementing the positive momentum that has come from the Blues taking wins in three of their last four outings.
