It wasn’t the prettiest of wins, but the St. Louis Blues managed to take down the Buffalo Sabres by a 2-1 final last night. The Boston Bruins were held to a single point against the Toronto Maple Leafs, so St. Louis’ two-point evening pulled them into a tie with the B’s for the Presidents’ Trophy.
The victory also broke the franchise season win record. It was their 52nd win on the year, which is a new team high.

With six games remaining in the regular season, it seems likely that St. Louis will be able to continue to add to the new high water mark. The win even got the attention of the St. Louis Cardinals—no strangers to the winners circle themselves.
.@StLouisBlues just keep winning! Congrats on your new single-season team record for wins.

The Blues will be off until tomorrow, and they’ll be looking to tack on more wins during their current home stand as the Colorado Avalanche come to town. The contest should feature more playoff esque hockey than the Buffalo matchup.
