Downtown St. Louis Gets Into the NHL Playoffs Spirit

The St. Louis Blues rolled out the “We All Bleed Blue” campaign ahead of the 2013-14 NHL playoffs, and the motto seems to make a lot more sense than the ones that opposing squads have come up with. Regardless, the city has been known to get behind the Cardinals during the playoff push, and it seems that the Blues will be getting the same treatment.

Various portions of downtown St. Louis have been.. Blue-i-fied as the opening round of the playoffs got underway last night. Maybe it was something in the (blue) water, but the hometown crowd left the Scottrade Center tired but happy in the wee morning hours following a triple-overtime contest against the Chicago Blackhawks.

The game was an outstanding one, and it’s awesome to see the city backing the Blues in their chase to (finally) hang a Stanley Cup banner from the rafters.

If you’ve got any cool photos of the blued-up downtown area, feel free to share with us on Twitter!
