- The Blues site is slowly working its way through its newest team members with brief interviews of each new trade. Today, we give you Olli Jokinen, the newest St. Louis Center. Jokinen had a tumultuous year, first playing wing for the Predators, much to his dismay, then being traded to Toronto only a few short weeks ago. Toronto realized they could get more in exchange for Jokinen than they would be able able to get out of him this season, and shipped him off to St. Louis. Frankly, his head must be spinning. I’m sure Jokinen is sincere when he says it’s a relief to be settled in St. Louis for the remainder of the season. (From Blues.nhl.com)

“Any team within 10 points of a playoff spot as of today is officially in bubble territory.
Based on that, we can go ahead and declare that any team more than 10 points clear of ninth place in its conference is a mortal lock, which means the following teams are in: Nashville, Montreal, Anaheim, St. Louis, Tampa Bay, both New York teams, Detroit, Pittsburgh, and Chicago.1 And we can pour one out for the following teams, which are at least 10 points back of the final spot and therefore have no hope: Buffalo, Arizona, Edmonton, Carolina, Toronto, and Columbus.
That leaves us with 14 teams fighting for six spots, which is pretty similar to what we’ve had in past years.2 Here’s how those teams would appear to shake out.” (From Grantland)
