NHL Headlines: Dot to Dot

This is a feature that will run Monday-Friday with notable stories from around the league (and other leagues as we see fit). Feel free to complain or laud (as you see fit). Here are the few, the fabulous, your Monday NHL headlines.

    • Apparently Jeremy Roenick loves P.K. Subban and thinks hockey needs more players like him. We couldn’t agree more. (From The Color of Hockey)
    • Daniel Carcillo was suspended 6 games and fined in excess of $40,000 for cross-checking Jets player Mathieu Perreault in a manner that led most onlookers to believe Perreault’s arm had been broken. (From NHL.com)
    • Stastny hasn’t been the second coming you might have been lead to believe by the summer’s hype, but he’s holding his own on the Blues (From Today’s Slapshot)
    • And last, but certainly not least, in an effort to ramp us up for the All-Star Game this weekend the NHL decided to release its top-10 All-Star Game moments. Number 8 (and which should be number 1) is Gordie Howe’s final All-Star Game and Wayne Gretzky’s first. Howe represented the Hartford Whalers at the game and had a few tricks up his sleeve yet.
