Can Zachary Bolduc do enough to make the team?

It seems Bolduc has the confidence required to play in the NHL.  His play on the ice in the QMJHL shows that he maybe be very close to making that happen.

Bolduc had a stellar 2021-22 campaign with the Québec Remparts.  He put up 99 points in 65 games.

Those 99 points were good for 8th in league scoring. With another year of eligibility in the juniors, it is probably more likely that Bolduc ends back with the Remparts. However, with a strong camp, he could find himself on the opening day roster with a big role on the Blues.

Can Alexey Toropchenko build on his impressive playoffs?

A pleasant surprise of the 2021-22 playoffs was the play of Alexei Toropchenko. He brought a lot of energy to the bottom six roles.  While the point totals were not there for more minutes, you could see that he belonged out there on the ice.

Toropchenko played most of the season with the Springfield Thunderbirds of the AHL. When called up to the Blues last season, Toropchenko put up only 2 points in 28 games, but in the playoffs, he matched that total in 12 games.

Next. Colten Ellis hoping to leapfrog his internal competition. dark

There is room to grow in the offensive department of his game, but if he keeps improving his game, he will be a regular in the Blues lineup. He will likely not be ready for the start of the season after the offseason surgery, but when he gets back, he will be sure to make his presence known.
