The St. Louis Blues already had three players heading to Switzerland for the 2026 IIHF World Championships. Now, you can add two more names to that list.

Center Pius Suter and goaltending prospect Love Harenstam will be joining Robert Thomas, Dylan Holloway, and Oskar Sundqvist. This is a huge deal for this Blues team, as we all saw what happened when some Blues went over to Italy for the 2026 Olympic Games.

For Suter, he gets to represent his home country of Switzerland on home ice. This is his home, his backyard, and now he gets to suit up in his country's colors and compete for one of the biggest tournaments in hockey. He already represented his nation at the Olympics and did relatively well.

The bigger story might be with Harenstam, who is the only one of the Blues group that has yet to play at the NHL-level yet. He was stellar in the World Juniors earlier this year, and there is a case to be made that if Jordan Binnington were to be moved, he would be moved right behind Joel Hofer immediately. We get to see how he does against some of the world's best.

The Blues have five members going to these Championships, which is an incredible feat. This tournament showcases the best of those not currently in the NHL Playoffs.

These World Championships will take place later this week and run until May 31. Can we see a Blue bring home a gold medal, in preparation for a pivotal 2026-27 season ahead?
