This may have been the easiest choice.
Since the last Blues home game was in April, watching this game on tv simply won’t suffice. To get your Blues fix you have to be there as the season kicks off. The first game of the Blues season is Thursday October 8, against the Edmonton Oilers (tickets).

Let’s leave out all the fun of the season opener for a moment and just look at the match up. The Oilers have not been a good team in recent seasons. The upside to this is the Oilers have ended up with four number one draft picks since 2010.
Connor McDavid is probably the most promising of the bunch. McDavid was drafted earlier this year and has been getting attention for years regarding his generational talent. Even Wayne Gretzky laid on the praise.
The next big thing will begin his NHL career in the Scottrade Center. If you want to see him play this season, the home opener will be your only chance.
Enjoy one of the loudest most energetic crowds of the year. Witness the season opening festivities. Regardless of the outcome, this game should be a memorable one for everyone in attendance.
