Our St. Louis Blues season schedule preview continues as we look at the February schedule and look at some key weekend games against division opponents.

The St. Louis Blues will begin the month with the first four out of five games on the road and features weekend matchups with some of the best teams in the NHL.

St. Louis will play seven games against teams in the central division and only two of those are at the Enterprise Center.

The Blues will play 11 different teams in the month of February and eight of those teams appeared in the Stanley Cup Playoffs last year and there is no indication that the majority of those teams will not be playing in late April again this year.

Last season, teams the Blues will face had a combined record of 456-276-90. February will be one of the most challenging months the Blues will have all year.

The Blues will start the February schedule on the 2nd with a road against the Columbus Blue Jackets before heading to Florida to take on the Panthers and Lightning.

Dad trips are always a fun time of year and usually bring out the best in the players on the ice. There is something about knowing that your old man is in attendance that makes you play harder. The Florida road trip might be a good opportunity for the dads to get to watch their kids play.

St. Louis will then play a home and away with the Nashville Predators on Saturday the 9th at home, then Sunday the 10th on the road in Nashville.

New Jersey will come to town two days later to face the Blues before St. Louis hits the road again to play the Coyotes in Arizona.

Another back to back awaits the Blues on the 16th and 17th when they travel to Colorado to play the Avalanche, then hop on a plane to face the Wild in Minnesota the next day.

Then the Blues will face one of the hardest stretches of hockey they will play all year. They will play five games in eight days, four of those teams made an appearance in the postseason last year.

St. Louis will host one of the best teams in the league, the Toronto Maple Leafs on the 19th, then head to Dallas two days later to take on the Stars.

Then the Blues will play their third, yes third back to back of the month. This time hosting the Boston Bruins at home on the 23rd before heading back to Minnesota the next day to take on the Wild once again.

The February slate will conclude with a home game against the Predators on the 26th and the team will probably let off a sigh of relief once the final horn sounds at the Enterprise Center.

This is one of the most grueling portions of the schedule the Blues will face all year and despite their recent success in back to backs in recent years, it will be important for both Allen and his backup to be on their game in February.
