The St. Louis Blues will continue to play their big names as the preseason dwindles down to its final two games. Jake Allen is expected to play the entire game will be backed up by young prospect Ville Husso.
One of the positives of this particular preseason game is that it will be picked up by Fox Sports Midwest. This will be the first time for many fans that they will get to see some of the news Blues in action.
The defensive unit for the Blues is an interesting topic of discussion ahead of this game. Robert Bortuzzo was suspended for the rest of the preseason and one regular season game, so there is a hole for the team to fill for the opening game against Winnipeg.

This will open an opportunity for players like Jake Walman and Jordan Schmaltz to make the team and play in Bortuzzo’s absence.
Those two youngsters will be paired up on the third defensive group for the Blues.
Jay Bouwmeester, Alex Pietrangelo, Joel Edmundson, and Colton Parayko will round of the rest of the defensive unit for the Blues.
Once again, the forward core for the Blues is impressive. The PAT line (Patrick Maroon, Ryan O’Reilly, and Vladamir Tarasenko) will once again be paired together to start the game.
This is one of the only lines that looks to be set in stone for Mike Yeo and the Blues. Players like Jaden Schwartz and Brayden Schenn will be paired up together again this season, but it is unclear as to who will play on the wing with them.
Jordan Kyrou will play that role tonight for St. Louis. Kyrou is having one of the best camps of the year and could not only make the team but play alongside some of the Blues best forward pairings.
Samuel Blais is another young player that is having a great camp. For the second year in a row, Blais is making a name for himself and is likely to make the team, especially if Robby Fabbri cannot recover in time for the season opener.
Blais will play alongside David Perron and Tyler Bozak, both are new additions for the Blues this year, so it could be a good opportunity for Blais to find chemistry with new players.
Robert Thomas will be playing with Ivan Barbashev and Oscar Sundqvist on the fourth line. Thomas has turned his game around recently and still could make the team and contribute in 2018.
We will have to see what kind of lineup the Blues want to send to Washington D.C. in their final preseason game on Sunday, but this could be the last time before October 4 that we get to see all the big names at the same time.
