On The Fourth Day Of Christmas The St. Louis Blues Gave To Me

Four young studs. The St. Louis Blues have drafted exceptionally well over the past two seasons and have left their system flourishing now more than ever.

Robert Thomas, Jordan Kyrou, Colton Parayko, Robby Fabbri, and many more have been drafted and developed by the St. Louis Blues and has set the team up for a great future with the team.

Although the season has not been good by any stretch, Doug Armstrong has stayed put so far and has not traded any of the players mentioned above. This could and probably will change if the losing trend continues, but I would be surprised if the team traded any of their young talent.

Parayko may be the prime candidate to get traded, but he is having one of his best seasons as a professional, so I would assume the asking price for the 25-year-old is pretty high.

Parayko was drafted in the third round, and it is turning out to be an absolute steal.

He has been in the league for four years now, and he has steadily improved every season since his rookie year in 2015-2016.

Already with seven goals in 30 games so far this season, he is well on his way of breaking his career high in goals (9) and could surpass his career high in points (35) as well.

Fabbri has shown signs of brilliance throughout his young career. Unfortunately for him and the Blues, his career has been defined by injuries.

He is coming off of back to back ACL injuries and has only played in 15 games so far this season after suffering an upper-body injury earlier this year.

The offensive potential does not need much of an introduction, he is a perennial 20 goal scorer in the league when he is healthy. Unfortunately, all it is at this point with Fabbri is potential. Until he can string together a healthy season, we won’t know what he is truly capable of.

Kyrou may have the best potential of every Blues player on the roster, but he has not been able to find any groove at the NHL level.

Kyrou has won any and all awards possible at juniors and has torn up the league on multiple occasions. If and when that ability translates to the NHL level, Kyrou could be a superstar at the highest level.

Thomas could be the Blues top center for the next decade. He has all the intangibles in the world and has found success at the NHL level.

I would like to see him score more goals and produce more offensively, but the 19-year-old is slowly finding confidence, and he is settling into his game nicely in St. Louis.

Next. Third Day Of Christmas. dark

Give credit to the Blues front office, with all of their recent regular season success, the Blues have not had very high draft picks but have still been able to find great talent in the latter part of the first round.
