The St. Louis Blues might have been overlooked at the 2019 NHL Awards, but we have our own version. In this one, the Blues take all the awards.
The St. Louis Blues winning the Stanley Cup was all the award that any of us fans needed, when you really strip everything else away. Nevertheless, it was hard not to feel a little cheated by the results of the 2019 NHL awards.
However, it was also just as hard coming up with winners of the major awards the NHL gives out, even if you had a member of the Blues win each of them. If nothing else, it was hard not to just give Ryan O’Reilly all the non-goaltending awards.
Still, it is an interesting process to pick out a member of the Blues for each category.
The Blues run to the Stanley Cup produced plenty of heroes. Each player, with few exceptions, seemed to have their moment along the way, whether it was a key play during their 11-game winning streak or sometime during the playoffs.
However, these trophies are given out based on the entirety of the season, including the playoffs. Everyone had their ups and downs, but these were the ones that shined the most.
