St. Louis Blues: Grading Every Player At The All-Star Break

In school, there were plenty of times it felt like report cards would come out at odd times. With that in mind, and seeing as the All-Star break is the unofficial midway point of the season, we look at the Blues grades
The St. Louis Blues passed the halfway point of the NHL season when the calendar turned to 2020. However, for the longest time, the league and fans have seen the All-Star break as the midpoint of the year.
It makes sense in a way. Even though you have played slightly over half your games, you basically know what you are.
Most teams know, or are at least leaning one way, if they are going to be buyers or sellers. That doesn’t automatically mean they are going to make a trade, but more the mindset of whether they have a shot at the playoffs or are actual championship contenders.
It also gives you a good indication of what kind of season individuals are having. Players can catch fire or go cold, but if you’ve done well to this point, you will likely continue. Conversely, if you have struggled, it is going to be hard to hit your average numbers based only on the second half.
So, most players have reached a point where it is fair to judge their achievements so far. So far, the vast majority of Blues players are having a heck of a year.
That has put them in first place in the division and conference. They also have kept pace with the top of the entire NHL, giving them a shot at home ice throughout, which would be beneficial this season.
With all that in mind, let’s look at each player’s marks.
