The St. Louis Blues now know the date of their replay against the Anaheim Ducks. Fans will need to check their calendar as a game got moved to accommodate.

The St. Louis Blues officially know when they’ll be going back to Anaheim to take on the Ducks. The schedule got shifted a little to make room, so some fans will have to check their calendars.

The Blues and the NHL released an official announcement regarding the reschedule. The Blues and Ducks will play in Anaheim on March 11, coincidentally exactly one month after the original incident in which Jay Bouwmeester suffered a cardiac event that saw the game cancelled.

The part forcing fans to check their calendars is the game against the Florida Panthers at the Enterprise Center. That game was originally scheduled for March 10, but no longer.

Instead of forcing the Blues to play a home game on a Tuesday night, catching a red-eye flight out west and playing in California on Wednesday, the league moved the Panthers game. St. Louis will now face Florida on March 9, giving the Blues a travel day to acclimate.

Nothing was said in the press release, but one would assume if you had tickets to the March 10 game, that will still be good for the March 9 reschedule. It would be best to call the box office or speak to your ticket representative just to be sure or to explore your options should you not be able to go on the 9th.

You are more than welcome to donate your tickets to myself. I would happily go in your stead.

The only bad thing about the Panthers game reschedule is the Blues now play back-to-back on Sunday and Monday. The Blues will be in Chicago March 8 for a 6:30 puck drop – don’t ask me why – and then back to St. Louis for the Monday night game against Florida. Also, the Ducks game now breaks up a three-game home stand. Still, that’s better than home against Florida and then immediately out west against the Ducks.

Ultimately, this is probably the best scenario of a bad situation. We would all have rather the game gone on as originally scheduled and still have Bouwmeester on the roster.

Fate had a different plan. As far as the Anaheim game will go, the teams will play a full 60 minute game but the score will resume at 1-1.

Next. Blues fans know San Antonio's pain. dark

As pointed out during the Nashville broadcast on February 16, it would be very strange if Ivan Barbashev was a scratch for some reason on March 11. He would still go down on record as having scored a goal, but would not have officially played in the game.

That would be some trivia.
