The St. Louis Blues already had to go through some schedule reshuffling after their second game of a series against the Vegas Golden Knights was postponed. Now, just as the Blues are really gaining momentum, fate is attempting to put a stop to that.
The Blues and the NHL announced that St. Louis’ game in Minnesota on February 9 will be postponed. The Wild are going to miss at least their next four games – February 4, 6, 7 and 9.

This is due to at least five Minnesota players being put on the NHL’s Covid Protocol list. This does not automatically mean they have that many positive cases, but that many people have been exposed to someone who has tested positive.
If the league wants to go the simple route, then mid-April seems the likeliest spot for a reschedule to happen. The Wild are in St. Louis April 9 and 11 and then both teams have at least three days off afterward. But, if the NHL is concerned about two teams playing more than two games against one another, there would have to be shuffling for both team’s schedules elsewhere.
The NHL might also just push this game off and hope they don’t need to reschedule. The playoff dates are not 100% set in stone, so they could just put this game off until the end of the season and only play it if it had playoff implications.
The reschedule with the Golden Knights came relatively fast. Perhaps we will find out more about this one sonoer rather than later.
