Despite a late push for the playoffs coming up short, the St Louis Blues still had some bright spots in the 2025/26 season, most noticeably from the young core, featuring players like past All Star Robert Thomas and college superstar Jimmy Snuggerud each having their own breakout campaigns. The 2025/26 season also saw the emergence of Dylan Holloway, who had his best season after not excelling as much when he was with Edmonton. Here are the three St Louis Blues that had the best individual performances this campaign.

Robert Thomas

Thomas led the team with 25 goals and an astonishing 64 assists for 81 total points, ahead of Snuggerud oddly enough. Thomas especially caught fire after the 2026 Milan Cortina Olympics, and despite somehow not being selected by Team Canada for their eventual silver medal winning roster, he proved why he should've been picked among the many other stars wearing the red maple leaf. Thomas racked up an impressive +22 plus minus rating, considerably higher than any of his teammates, and was one of four 20+ goalscorers this season, along with Snuggerud, Holloway and Pavel Buchnevich. Thomas did manage most of his 25 goals on the season with 14 of those coming after the Olympic break, but the bigger point was the fact that he was able to maintain such a good playstyle even after sitting home watching Team Canada from his couch.

Jimmy Snuggerud

Snuggerud's first full professional season was decent to start, posting 21 goals and 30 assists for 51 points, even managing to finish 5th in Calder Trophy voting, given to the NHL's best rookie. He made an especially strong case for rookie of the year given that the 21-year-old University of Minnesota sharpshooter led all NHL rookies in goals (14), points (36), and plus/minus (+25) from January 24th onward. Leading your fellow rookies in one particular offensive stat is nice, but doing it in 3 different categories? That's a whole other level of impressive. Snuggerud has a very bright future ahead of him and will be an integral piece of the Blues' offense for years to come. Snuggerud finished tied for 2nd on the team in total points with the aforementioned 51, the same number that Dylan Holloway finished with in his 2nd St Louis season. And speaking of the 24 year old centre from Calgary...

Dylan Holloway

After spending his first two seasons with Edmonton and not producing much offensively, Holloway's offensive prowess exploded once he was dealt to St Louis before the 2024/25 season. His first season wearing the blue note saw him post a career high 26 goals and 37 assists for 63 points in all but 5 regular seasons games. This season, Holloway scored slightly less goals, managing 22 and assisting on 29 other goals for a total of 51 points, still good enough for 2nd on the whole team. Holloway accomplished this despite some early season injury problems that ultimately saw him only play in 59 games, a bit of a drop from his first season in St Louis. Such number of games was more like his first two seasons in the NHL with Edmonton, though it might not have been his fault. Perhaps he was just lower on the depth char, being on the same team with guys like McDavid and Drasaitl.

Honorable mention: Joel Hofer

An honorable mention for one of the best individual performers in Blues this season goes to Joel Hofer, who, despite being the backup to Jordan Binnington for most of the season, had his own moments to shine, especially in the final month and a half of the season. From February, Hofer posted a 5-1 record and a very impressive .932 save percentage. Hofer posted a 24-13-5 record in 46 games this season, making an official start in all but 3 of those contests and posting a .909 save percentage, significantly better than Binnington, who, by comparison, had a .873 save percentage with a 13-20-7 record, starting 39 of 41 games. But the biggest takeaway is that maybe, just maybe, the Blues could start looking at Hofer as their starting netminder in 2026/27, given the numerous statistical advantages, number-wise, Hofer had over Binnington. Plus, it's not like Binnington was that great either. More on that in a related article.
