The St. Louis Blues try to gain an additional point or two following their overtime loss to Los Angeles on Saturday, 5-4. On Tuesday night, the Dallas Stars come into town as they are in a tight race for second and third place in the Central Division with the Minnesota Wild.
There are three Blues players to watch in this one, as the clock is ticking on this 2025-26 season. Every game is more crucial than the previous one, and there is no more time to figure things out. Another loss is going to really put pressure on General Manager Doug Armstrong to start making some decisions.
Jordan Kyrou
Kyrou finally had himself a solid outing against Los Angeles with a two-goal performance. He was aggressive with the puck and found himself in some high-danger areas to keep the Blues in the game. His participation will be important once again if the Blues want to be in contention for a win against Dallas.
Jordan Binnington
This game falls on the shoulders of Jordan Binnington, as he will be in the net for the Blues. There are only a few more games before the Olympic Games start in about a week and a change, and the entire country of Canada will be tuning into this game to see if No. 50 can be the starter that will represent them. A solid showing here wins back the hearts of the Canadian people, and the Blue Note starts to believe in him again.
Jimmy Snuggerud
With only two goals and three assists for five points over the last 13 games, this season has been up and down all year for No. 21. His rookie campaign is going over as a success despite the rest of the disappointment in the lineup, but these next couple of games will be crucial before the break. We all remember how it went following the Four Nations Faceoff last season when Snuggerud was introduced to the NHL-level. Maybe this season can have the same kind of luck, and that starts with this game against Dallas.
