The 2025-26 NHL schedule features many exciting matchups fans can look forward to this season, and the St. Louis Blues are no exception. The team looks to make another run towards the playoffs, hopefully going deeper than their dramatic 1st round exit from Winnipeg this past season. Here's a few games Blues fans should circle on their calendars.

Blues vs Wild: October 9, 8 PM

A classic Central Division matchup is the perfect way to kick off the new season, especially after St Louis lost 3 of 4 games to Minnesota last season. The Blues are packing some new offensive firepower in Pius Suter and Nick Bjugstad, which should help them flip this regular-season series on its head this time around. Additionally, dynamic postseason star Jimmy Snuggerud gets his first taste of a full NHL season, as he previously had only played in the Blues' 1st round matchup against the Jets. St Louis did at least win the last of the 4 games between these two teams last season, a convincing 5-1 victory in Minnesota spurred by a hat trick from star RW Jordan Kyrou. Now if St Louis could only do the same, but back at Enterprise Center...

Blues vs Jets: December 17, 8 PM

This will be an opportunity for playoff heartbreak redemption at home just a week before Christmas. The Blues had a 2-0 playoff lead over the Western Conference-leading Jets before it all fell apart, culminating in a Game 7 they just barely didn't win by mere seconds. Now St. Louis will face Winnipeg on home ice this time, unlike that fateful Game 7. Like the Minnesota regular season series, the Blues lost 3 of 4 games to the Jets, but that can be expected when you're facing one of the NHL's premier goaltenders in Connor Hellebuyck. Oddly enough, the only win for the Blues in that 4-game series also came in the month of December, a 4-1 triumph up in Winnipeg, so once again, they'll look to pick up the win on home ice this time around. It'll be a much tougher Central Division clash than Minnesota, that's for sure.

Blues at Panthers: December 20, 6 PM

The first of two games against the now two-time defending Stanley Cup champion Panthers, the other being on January 29th at 8 PM, the Blues fell in both contests against the Cats, but both times by very close margins. In the first contest, Alexsander Barkov scored the go-ahead goal with 30 seconds left in regulation, and in the other, Matthew Tkachuk's OT winner provided the difference. This could be the season they get over the hump, though, seeing as how both games ended 2-1 and 3-2, respectively. In any case, St Louis has to prepare for the offensive onslaught of Tkachuk, Barkov, Brad Marchand, and Aaron Ekblad. But the Blues may have their own secret weapon in goaltender Joel Hofer, who kept his save percentage above .900 across both games that season. Pretty impressive feat against the two-time defending champs, right?

More about Hofer, he also had a high save percentage against the Jets, posting a .921 alongside a 2-1-1 record and a 1.97 GAA. Hofer's Panthers performance ended up being obviously worse at 0-2, but that can honestly be overlooked, considering his save percentage was similar. In any case, both Florida and Winnipeg are playoff lock teams for 2025/26, and two teams the Blues need to do very well against in the regular season if they hope to make a deeper playoff run next April.
