The St. Louis Blues are still under the .500 mark after a disappointing showing against the Anaheim Ducks on home ice on Monday, losing 4-1. Tempers flared, offense stalled, and it was ultimately another "L" in the book.
Now, with their eyes set on a big game against the Boston Bruins, there is a sense of revival with this team. The chips are against them with the multitude of injuries, but this franchise has always thrived under that pressure. Can they do it again?
Here are three players that should stand out and should be a must-watch against Boston.
Philip Broberg
Philip Broberg is starting to become this team's best defenseman, marking Colton Parayko as expendable. No. 6 is playing big-time minutes and doing more good than harm in that amount of time.
One of his best attributes is something that is not measured on the statsheet, but leading the rush. Once Broberg grabs the puck in his end or has some empty real estate in front of him between the bluelines, he takes it and goes Mach speed up the ice. That has been a difference maker this season.
Aleksanteri Kaskimaki
These next two players are going to be players making their 2025-26 debuts. Aleksanteri Kaskimaki, who was supposed to suit up before the Anaheim loss, did not make it to the arena in time due to travel delays.
Can he make a big impression on head coach Jim Montgomery and General Manager Doug Armstrong?
Pius Suter
After missing the last two games, Pius Suter will be rejoining the Blues in Boston. His absence was definitely missed, as he is the third-best scorer on this squad with six goals this season.
Pius Suter, who missed the past two games with a lower-body injury, practiced today and is expected to play in Boston.

Monty: "Yeah, Suter looks really good. He'll be a player for us tomorrow." #stlblues
Is he completely healed and ready to make an impact on a team that is desperately needing some offense?
