Happy Holidays! The St. Louis Blues have their final battle down in the Sunshine State and last game before the Christmas break against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
This is a hard win to grab, but a necessary one. Here are three players that can set this game into the Blues favor.
Robert Thomas
The Blues are still without their big-time scorers in Jordan Kyrou, Jimmy Snuggerud and Dylan Holloway. That is why Robert Thomas, who is regarded as the most important player on this team already, has to step up even more in their absence. The playmaker has to wear a lot more hats now, but has been doing it very well as of late.
With two goals and four assists over his last five games, he has been a catalyst for this team. The offense exploded with six goals against the back-to-back champions, Florida, in their last game due to the play of Thomas. Can he keep it up?
Jonatan Berrgren
The waiver claim from General Manager Doug Armstrong on Jonatan Berrgren might be one of the best pickups in his entire tenure at the head position. The Blues have been grateful to have him, and the match has been heavenly since he joined this team.
Can he keep it up with another solid performance, or is this the game that the beginner's luck runs out?
Jake Neighbours
The first Blues player to reach the 10-goal plateau for the 2025-26 season is Jake Neighbours. There are two sentiments with that statement. Neighbours was eventually going to get to 10+ goals, but it was a very small chance that he would be first with Kyrou and Holloway in the lineup. Plus, it is nearly the end of the calendar year, which means the season is nearly three months old.
That is a long time to get to 10 goals. Can he keep up his momentum and continue to carry this team in a time when goalscoring is barren?
