The St. Louis Blues ran into a Stanley Cup-sized brick wall, as they were humbled 4-0 on October 24 against the Carolina Hurricanes. That pushed their five-game home stand to 2-1-0, with two games to go.

The first of those two games is against Montreal, after they just took their talents outside in the Heritage Classic and defeated the Winnipeg Jets, 2-1. This is going to be a rough-and-tough battle against two middle-ground teams in their own divisions.

Let's go over who is going to be some X-Factors in this game. Shoutout Bleedin' Blue's Co-Expert Mike Meyer for breaking down a few of them here.

Jimmy Snuggerud

Not listed above is No. 21, Jimmy Snuggerud. This is a crucial game for him as he was riding a three-game point streak before this whole team got blanked by Carolina. A big bounce-back from him would be the best possible outcome for this game.

Snuggeurd has had the expectation of being the next Jordan Kyrou, in terms of goal-scoring. With six already to his credit inside of 11 games, which is a pace of 46 goals after 84 games, he can eclipse the ex-Blue, now Washington Capitals forward.

Let us also not forget who the Canadiens have on the other side for competition, as Cole Caufield is one of the best goal-scorers in the NHL. We just saw how Robert Thomas just faired against Sebastian Aho, now let's see how Snuggerud faces off against Caufield.

Robert Thomas

Speaking of Thomas, he loves playing the Canadiens. 15 points inside of 10 career games is a nice mark, and their top centerman, Nick Suzuki, is out for the next few weeks. This is where No. 18 can shine.

The Blues need to start pushing the pedal to the floor on establishing offensive zone time, and Thomas can be a catalyst for that. Can we see a big game from the Captain here?

Mason McTavish

The 4-0 loss to Carolina was a humbling experience for this team, but none more than Mason McTavish. He has been stellar all season long, as his acquisition this offseason might go down as one of the best in franchise history.

No. 83 is the point leader for this squad, with six goals and four assists for 10 points, joining Dylan Holloway. But, in the Carolina game, he was held shotless for the second time all season. This has to be a big game for him to turn things around.
