Last season, the St. Louis Blues had the ninth-least amount of goals forced with 230. Nobody reached the 30-goal plateau and the highest point total belonged to Robert Thomas at a lowly 64 points.
The hope is that the new additions to the top-six and the blue line will bring a lot more offense to the table. Here are five players that are a lock to get a significant point increase over the next 84 games.
Jimmy Snuggerud
There is a very good chance that Jimmy Snuggerud could not only get a significant increase in point production from last season but could also be the top point-getter for the entire team in 2026-27. He had a fantastic rookie campaign, with a stellar run down the stretch that really put things into perspective for the future.
His 51 points last season were the seventh-highest in franchise history for a rookie. That was with him bouncing around the lineup, missing a good bit of time while undergoing surgery on his wrist, and overall figuring out the speed and pace of the NHL. Expect a big jump in 2026-27.
Philip Broberg
It is Philip Broberg's defense now, and he will be called upon alot in 2026-27. No. 6 obtained a career-high of 34 points last season, and expect that to be shattered.
The Blues and the rest of the NHL are going to be playing in two extra games next season, so that is an additional 45 to 50 minutes of ice time for Broberg to make a difference. There are no other players on this team who will be under more pressure than the Swedish defenseman, as the days of Colton Parayko being the dependable and sturdy first d-man are over.
Broberg will also hopefully get a much better season out of partner Logan Mailloux. He turned on the jets at the end of the season, but his abysmal start simply cannot be ignored.
Mason McTavish
It was a busy offseason for both ex-General Manager Doug Armstrong and current headman, Alexander Steen. They both pitched in and brought in Mason McTavish on draft night, and his arrival in the 'Lou is going to be a big difference-maker from last season.
McTavish has a career-high of 52 points, which he set back in 2023-24 with his former team, the Anaheim Ducks. Last season saw him take an 11-point dip, but that was primarily due to the evolution of prospects like Leo Carlsson and Beckett Sennecke.
Now, in a new place and some new linemates, McTavish is going to be fighting for his center spot on the second-line. No matter if he wins it or not, the top six will still feature his skills and grit.
Robert Thomas
This is it folks. We have all been waiting for Robert Thomas to enter his prime, and now that it is here, the brass have graced him with two very capable linemates.
Above, Snuggerud was already described as being one player who will be getting a serious production jump next season, but that will be because of Thomas. Expect Dylan Holloway to also get a point jump as well, and he narrowly missed this list due to others having a bit more of an overall increase.
Can we finally see No. 18 surpass the 100-point dream?
Connor McMichael
Joining McTavish as one of the four new Blues players, Connor McMichael is also joining this team as another impressive addition this offseason. He will be the other center battling for that 2C spot, but he is projected to be placed on the wing after training camp and the preseason.
McMichael had a solid year with Washington last season, but the need for a pure goal-scoring threat in Jordan Kyrou was worth more than him. Last season saw him reach a 46-point total, and that should steadily increase in his first go-around with St. Louis.
If he and McTavish, alongside either Pavel Buchnevich or Jake Neighbours, can gel immediately, that can be a very dangerous line. Watch out for the speed of this group, highlighted by McMichael.
